Summer!

It's been forever since I've posted a blog, but.. its Summer, and I'm not stressing about 

classes for now.. So here are some new photos that I shot this past week.. These are kids from my group in this summer art program, called Blue Sky Project, that I'm working in this year.. I kind of like how they turned out in general, and might see if I can shoot some more of the kids in the program.. As of right now I'm too broke to buy film and other necessities.. So I'm anxiously awaiting graduation and Manifest money.. Thats all for now.. Hopefully I'll have new stuff up every week or two..

If anyone has any comments or suggestions I would really like to hear them, any advice is always appreciated.. I would also like to know which image everyone prefers of the girl sitting outside..

Here are a few more of the photos that I shot the weekend before last.. I'm starting to collect written stories and quotes from people that I'll be showing with the photos.. And I'm trying to shoot people all differently depending on their personality and what kind of tattoos they have.. I've been having a little trouble trying to come up with ways to make the portraits more fresh and unique.. A lot of people have been commenting that they want to see more of the tattoos on people.. For people to be "showing more" and for the images to give a better view of the tattoos.. but to me I feel like the images are not about showing off people's tattoos so much as they're about the people themselves and who they are.. I agree that if somebody has a tattoo that has very special personal meaning to them that it should be visible, but if somebody is covered with tattoos, like the image of my friend Josh is front of the blue wall, the fact that he is so covered with tattoos says something about him.. as apposed to a closeup of someone with just one tattoo that has very special meaning.. If anyone has thoughts/ ideas/ comments I would love to hear them, good or bad..

Finished Day-in-the-Life Assignment

As promised, here is my finished piece for my Day-in-the-Life project for Ex-Tech.. I wasn't too thrilled with doing this assignment in the first place, but it ended up being kind of fun.. It's kind of fun to do stuff that's not for a big huge project every now and then for a change.. So.. I'm pretty happy with it :)
